New to gardening, I am going to use a cold frame I’ve acquired on the flagged area of our garden to grow some salad and veg. Should I line the base of it before filling it with soil? and if so, what would you recommend using? Thank you
I was wondering if I could plant some other flowers, like marigolds, in the same containers as my Tom Thumb patio tomatoes, or do they like to be alone in the pots?

Yes, you can plant marigolds with tomatoes, assuming that your pot is big enough for them to both have room in the same container.
I have cucumbers planted in a 1/2 barrel,they looked healthy and had lots of yellow blossoms then the leaves started to have grey spots,the small cucs dried up and now the leaves are papery and will crack.I love my cucs,please tell me what I am doing wrong.
